AHA 2020 Guideline Transition: What You Need to Prepare

Calling all American Heart Association (AHA) Training Centers! Are you ready for the AHA 2020 Guideline Transition?

All AHA Instructors and Training Centers will have until February 1, 2021 to begin teaching the new 2020 Guidelines healthcare courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS).

What do you need to do to prepare? We are here to help!

  1. Complete 2020 Instructor Update eLearning Course for each discipline taught:
    1. BLS, ACLS (for ACLS and ACLS EP Instructors), PALS, PEARS, and Heartsaver
    1. Applies to all AHA Instructors & faculty – must complete by February 1, 2021
  2. Transition to 2020 course materials (BLS, ACLS, PALS)
    1. Unactivated eLearning courses will automatically transition February 1, 2021
    1. Unused and reclaimed eCards will automatically transition February 1, 2021
    1. Existing eBook and Streaming Video will NOT update

Once you have completed these actions, you are ready to begin teaching your AHA 2020 Guideline courses! Please note that no 2015 version courses should take place after January 31, 2021, and all eCards for the 2015 courses must be issued to students by January 31, 2021.
